No one knows the thoughts of God except the Holy Spirit Who searches out the heart of God and things hidden within it He comprehends the secret wisdom of the mind of Christ Possessing glory all its own that rulers underpriced
But oh the things God has prepared for those who will abide No eye has seen no ear has heard what’s waiting right beside For we have graciously received from God this very gift We come to know what’s on His mind and then our viewpoints shift
1 Corinthians 2 is such a special chapter. I think it may be the best passage in the Bible for articulating more precisely how the Holy Spirit works to draw us into a much greater potential intimacy with the Father and the Son than most of us have experienced. Could “explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words” (v. 13) possibly hint at the functions of fast and slow tracks (i.e. the right and left hemispheres) of our brains?
“This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.”
