It seems we’re always striving for opportunities To make our mark upon the world Our insecurity to ease
We want to find significance in a noisy day The many voices drown us out So we push to get our say
Working hard to find the doors that lead to open seas We trample love into the ground But then behold we’ve lost the keys
A better way to navigate has always promised more An ancient path to fruitfulness ... To adore is to a door
Doors of opportunity, as good as they can be, often compete in our hearts and minds as we seek to walk with Christ and the Spirit in our Father’s good, acceptable and perfect will. Sometimes there are so many divergent opportunities that we can easily become disoriented and confused and lose the kind of focus we need to be fruitful over the longer haul of life. I have found that living in the wonder and awe of knowing Christ is the best way of positioning ourself to receive His guidance for life. Guidance is like a Dance with our Guide more than anything else.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Matthew 6:33
